Job Description

Job Summary: 

The Intl. Credit Assistant’s primary job responsibility will be to assist the Credit Analysts and the Credit Manager with the processing of new credit applications, account reviews and all other functions required to support the credit department. The Intl. Credit Assistant position will report to the Senior Credit Analyst and be located in Omaha, NE.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Complete credit investigations for existing and new business counterparties (customers, suppliers and banks): review and summarize credit reports, review company websites, run and/or review denied parties screening and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and/or establish customer file records in the credit system to ensure proper documentation
  • Maintain country risk, trade and logistics details
  • Review customer financials and enter appropriate data into the credit system
  • Establish, change, and/or inactivate customer accounts and credit limits in the operating systems
  • Interface with business unit managers and merchandisers regarding status of counterparty accounts
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments

Other Job Functions:

  • Prepare, distribute and manage weekly and/or monthly reports as needed or requested
  • Assist with other department projects or tasks as assigned


  • Computer Proficiency – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills. Able to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work individually and with a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business-related program preferred but not required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in finance, accounting or credit position preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret business financial statements preferred

Special Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time
  • Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator, computer printer up to 90% of the time
