Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing and interpreting financial and operational information for analysis to support financial, field and executive management teams. This includes developing financial budgeting and reporting tools as well as providing detailed analysis and commentary of actual versus planned and forecasted results.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform analytical review of financial results against plan/forecast and report the results to management
  • Analyze financial performance to understand key business drivers and generate actionable insights
  • Manage the preparation of the annual plan and weekly/monthly forecasts
  • Utilize appropriate analytical methodologies, tools and systems to enhance analysis and processes
  • Serve as an internal resource for providing analytical support to business units and administrative departments
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and accessible financial reporting to support wide-ranging business needs
  • Assist in the month-end closing responsibilities, including:
    • Posting of journal entries
    • Prepare month-end reporting packages
    • Research and resolve any issues identified as a result of the month-end process
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and participate in special projects on an as-needed basis to support financial and strategic decision-making
  • Ensure consistent compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, ownership and company personnel in a courteous, timely and professional manner
  • Prepare presentations for Senior Management and Board of Directors

    • Other duties and projects as assigned by management teamQualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
  •  

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a finance-related field required
  • Must be able to work proficiently with Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
  • Must display strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL and/or Oracle Essbase preferred

 

Special Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time;
  • Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator, computer printer and phone up to 90% of the time;
  • Frequently communicates with employees and auditors in the office and at remote locations
